Having a beautiful and well-maintained vinyl floor is an easy task along as you are using the right products. Just follow this guide and your floors will be in immaculate shape.

Wipe up a spill as soon as you can. Leaving a spill on your vinyl flooring for long periods of time can weaken the glue bonds and cause bubbling in the middle. It will quickly deteriorate and soften the vinyl and in the worst cases develop mold!

Before we wet clean you are going to want to vacuum the floor or dry mop it throughly with preferably a microfiber mop. Mop every corner and underneath all your furniture, we need to remove all dirt and particles from your vinyl floor.

The easiest way to clean and maintain your flooring is simply just water and the microfiber mop. There are also some great products out there like Mrs.Meyers Multi-Service Concentrate for a more thorough clean and disinfecting your vinyl floor.

For a disinfectant and deodorize you can always try a more DIY route like Apple Cider Vinegar which is great for removing odors and disinfecting. Vinegar is extremely acidic which makes for a great way to kill bacteria on your floor. So just grab two-buckets, one with apple cider vinegar and hot water, make sure you leave the mixture alone for 2-3 minutes so it perfectly dissolves. The other bucket will be just clean water. Mop the floor with the vinegar and once completed, mop again with the clean water to rinse away the vinegar. Pull the mop towards you when you clean for best results.

For stains or discoloring another DIY method is baking soda! Mix baking soda with water to make a thick paste. Gently rub the paste over the stains, then clean thoroughly to remove any traces of baking soda. Why does this work? Baking Soda is really abrasive, so it loosens and lifts the stains up from your vinyl flooring.
